Anchor Marketing is looking for a full-time talented PHP/WordPress developer skilled in various aspects of web development. It will be an opportunity to join a dynamic team that is focused on creating and developing solutions for all types of web applications, including websites for local, national and worldwide companies.

What you’ll do:

  • Create front-end web applications using HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Build awesome websites on the WordPress platform while pushing the boundaries of CMS programming
  • Code “responsive” sites to function properly on mobile devices and tablets
  • Work with a creative team to design, plan, budget and develop web content

Requirements:

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies
  • A solid foundation of semantic HTML and CSS
  • Strong understanding of PHP, application architecture and object-oriented design
  • Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and plugins
  • The ability to solve technical issues and test your work accordingly

Bonus:

  • Drupal, Joomla or other CMS experience

Anchor Marketing is looking to add a professional writer to our creative team. The best candidate would be experienced writing web copy, social media posts, advertising, light journalistic pieces and PR. However, a newcomer with outstanding creativity, strong organizational skills and a knock-out portfolio will also be considered. This is a fun job that requires a love of writing, a commitment to learning (about clients, about processes, about products), a knack for getting the most out of interviews, a willingness to travel and a solid grasp of editing and proofreading.

If you come to work for us you’ll be writing everything from social media posts to magazine articles, from television scripts to packaging for nationally-sold products. You will be working closely with designers and programmers as part of Anchor’s creative team. This job is a little different every single day. This individual will design everything from web sites and social media graphics to print pieces and packaging, depending on the day. Some basic understanding of HTML is preferred, but not required. Some basic knowledge of CSS would also be a plus.
